Give and Take Day in Ross Township, Monroe County, September 20

Ross Township (Monroe County) residents are invited to drop off unwanted items and take useable items all for free on September 20 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Van Buskirk-Haney Park, Anchorage Rd, Saylorsburg, Pa.

A Give & Take Day is a great opportunity for people to donate unwanted items that are taking up room in the home and garage, and reduce disposing of usable items to a landfill.

The event, organized by Close the Loop, LLC, is the first of its kind in Monroe County.

Items donated will then be displayed for others to re-use, rather than be thrown away. Alternately if you need something for the home or garden come along and find something for free!

All Ross township residents are welcome and it is guaranteed to be a fun day out; there will be refreshments and a competition, activities for children, plus information on recycling, composting and much more!

Close the Loop is hoping that more townships will adopt this type of event as part of their annual cleanup days and give residents a chance to reduce, reuse and recycle before throwing items away.

Volunteers are needed for the event, if you are able to help out, please call 570.629.8414 or just show-up on the day of the event!

To learn more about the event visit the Close the Loop website.
