Recovering Energy and Profits From Biomass and Waste Conference In Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Steel City Biofuelsand other partners are sponsoring theEnergy from Biomass and Waste Exposition and Conferencein Pittsburgh October 14-16.

The conference is one ofNorth America's premier showcases and educational forum for the growing business of using waste materials and biomass as a significant resource in clean and green energy supply. It will take place in downtown Pittsburgh's David L. LawrenceConvention Centerhosted by Germany-based Freesen & Partner.

Over 70 local and international organizations will be present to exhibit their products and services, highlighting the latest in sustainable energy production and safe waste handling. Conference topics are set to cover techniques, investment and finance, policy and regulation, and work development, in addition to a Youth Program with Career Forum that is new for 2008.

Over 1,000delegates are expected to gather to discuss the economic and environmental benefits of new energy conversion technologies.

EBW 2008 is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Pennsylvania State University, the West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund, and Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. The event is part of the "energy from biomass and waste" series, currently being held in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.
