Growing a Garden of Future Environmental Leaders, EPA Awards Student Fellowships

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency this week awarded54 student research fellowshipsto undergraduate and graduate students around the country, including one from Pennsylvania. EPA's GRO fellowship program helps build environmental studies programs at universities with limited funding for research and development. A total of 156 applicants competed this year for 22 fellowships. AGRO Undergraduate Fellowship was awarded toMercyhurst College student Adam M. Olszewski for a study entitled,Is Algae Causing Bacterial Pollution In Presque Isle State Park? EPA is now accepting applications from students forGRO undergraduate fellowships. Applications are due December 11. |
