Energy Coordinating Agency Holds Urban Sustainability, Conservation Is Survival Forums

The Energy Coordinating Agency will hold an Urban Sustainability Forum with the theme "Lights, Carbon, Action: Energy Action Agenda For Buildings In Pennsylvania" on October 23 at the Academy of Natural Sciences and a "Conservation Is Survival" Program on October 24 at the Arch Street Methodist Church, both in Philadelphia. On October 23, the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, the nation’s premier energy efficiency planning organization, is conducting a comprehensive assessment of Pennsylvania’s energy conservation, efficiency and solar resources. Steve Nadel will present preliminary findings and recommendations of ACEEE’s study. Dan Griffiths, Blondell Reynolds Brown, and Mark Alan Hughes will discuss recent legislation, financial incentives, and planning and program efforts underway to increase energy efficiency and the use of clean renewable energy in buildings in Philadelphia and across the state.
