Here are short profiles of candidates in the Elect to Conserve special election sponsored by the www.iConservePA.org website.

Dana is promoting land conservation. As a young girl she grew up playing in the woods and fields by her home and would run around in a mountain stream that had tons of crayfish. But one day someone decided to build houses there and in places where there were tall trees, jack-in-the-pulpit and wildflowers, there was now nothing but green lawns and houses. It was then she decided there must be a way to provide both homes and protect natural areas. Click here to watch her campaign video.

Norm has a simple philosophy, "I don't just plant trees, I clean the air." For more than 20 years, Norm has promoted an urban forestry program in the state. In developing these programs, he was not only working with trees, but also with people that made a big difference. He not only helps get trees planted, but teaches people how to maintain them. He's retired now, but still enjoys working with volunteers and kids to continue the work he started. Click here to watch his campaign video.
