Workshop Proposals Due For 2009 Connecting Communities To Creeks Conference

Proposals are now being accepted for the 7th Annual Pennsylvania Land Connecting Communities To Creeks Confluence in May 2009. Proposals are now due by November 21 (extended from November 14).

Proposals are welcome on land conservation, water quality protection, habitat restoration, organizational development issues, emerging science, community engagement, advanced topics, and innovation. Workshops will be 90-minute sessions unless otherwise discussed with staff and delivered on May 9.

The Pennsylvania Land Conservation Conference, sponsored annually by PALTA, is Pennsylvania’s annual training, networking and inspirational event for those involved with private and public land conservation.

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Confluence Conference is a biennial conference dedicated to exploring issues of water quality improvement projects, policy and technical implementation, community education, and citizen action affecting the quality of our rivers, streams and bays.

The submission process is simple and can be completed online. In recognition of their efforts, conference presenters will receive a free basic registration (limit of one per organization per workshop).
