To celebrate America Recycles Day in in the Southwest, the Pennsylvania Resources Council has partnered with the Allegheny County Health Department and the Mall at Robinson to host a “Hard to Recycle” Collection event on November 15th.

November 15th marks the 11th anniversary of America Recycles Day. Started by the National Recycling Coalition, America Recycles Day aims to promote the social, environmental, and economic benefits of recycling and encourage more people to join the movement towards creating a better natural environment.

The event will allow residents to drop off their freon and non-freon appliances, e-waste, televisions, tires without rims, ink and toner cartridges, cell phones, compact fluorescent light bulbs, mixed paper, and cardboard and all materials will be recycled or refurbished.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lower level parking lot of the Mall at Robinson, 100 Robinson Centre Drive in Pittsburgh. There are fees associated with some items!

America Recycles Day-- November 15-- is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and buy recycled products.
