DEP Climate Change Advisory Committee To Lay Out Extensive Work Plans November 5

On November 5 the DEP Climate Change Advisory Committee will have an extensive discussion of a proposed strawman task plan for accomplishing its assignments under the Pennsylvania Climate Change Act passed in July.

In addition, the Committee is now making available detailed work plans and assignments for several different sectors: waste, state government, industrial, forestry, electricity, residential and commercial.

The Committee will also discuss basic elements of a federal cap and trade program for greenhouse gas emissions and an overview of other federal initiatives.

The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Room 105, Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg. The next meeting of the Committee is December 5.
