Crawford Conservation District Invites Logging Industry to November 6 Workshop
Logging professionals are invited to learn how to gain a better understanding of state law and how to be better stewards of the environment during a workshop on November 6 in Meadville.
 
Co-sponsored by the Department of Environmental Protection, the Crawford County Conservation District, and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, the workshop will be held from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Crawford County Conservation District Office, 21742 German Road.
 
Topics will include the state’s environmental rules and regulations governing logging, erosion and sedimentation control, best management practices and sustainable logging practices. The workshop will conclude with on-site instruction for participants at a potential logging location.
 
There is a $30 fee for materials, payable at the workshop by cash or check.
