DEP Soliciting Comments On TMDL Watershed Plans In Four Counties

The Department of Environmental Protection this week invited comments on Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) water quality plans for watersheds in four counties: Clarion, Columbia, Fayette and Luzerne. The watersheds include:

Brush Run, Gathers Run, Reid Run Watersheds, Clarion County:DEP will hold a public meeting December 16 at the Knox District Office in Knox, Pa starting at 9:00 a.m. to answer questions and take comments. Glade Run Watershed, Fayette County:DEP will hold a public meeting January 14 at 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 888 North Gallatin Ave. Extension, Uniontown to answer questions and take comments. Redstone Creek Watershed, Fayette County:DEP will hold a public meeting December 12 at the Uniontown District Office in Uniontown, Pa starting at 10:00 a.m.. Comments due: January 16. Contact: Scott Heidel, 717-787-1421 or send email to: scheidel@state.pa.us.

Susquehanna River Watershed in Columbia and Luzerne Counties: DEP will hold a public meeting on December 9 at the DEP Northeast Regional Office, Wilkes-Barre, Pa starting at 10:30 a.m.. Comments due: January 16. Contact: Jennifer Orr, 717-772-5670, or send email to: jeorr@state.pa.us.
