DCNR Sets 2009 Workshops For Community Conservation Partnership Grants

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, in partnership with the PA Recreation and Park Society, has scheduled a series of eight grant workshops for the Community Conservation Partnership Grant Program called, "Development an Excellent Project." The deadline for applications is April 22. These workshops will feature the new DCNR e-Grant application process and the greening of the C2P2 grant program. The workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on the following dates-- -- February 3-- Hotel Carlisle and Embers Convention Center, Carlisle; -- February 5-- Holiday Inn, Williamsport; -- February 10-- The Inn at Nichols Village, Clarks Summit, Lackawanna County; -- February 12-- Blair County Convention Center, Altoona; -- February 18-- Holiday Inn, Clarion; -- February 19-- Four Points By Sheraton Pittsburgh North, Mars, Butler County; -- February 24-- Holiday Inn Conference Center, Breingsville, Lehigh County; and -- February 26-- Radisson Hotel Valley Forge Convention Center, King of Prussia. To register for the workshop of your choice, visit the DCNR online calendar webpage, select "workshops-grants" in the pull down menu and click on the location of the workshop you plan to attend. Hard copies of the registration forms are also available by calling the PA Recreation and Park Society at 814-234-4272. Advance registration is recommended.
