Green Gala Raises Over $53,000 In Green For Wildlands Conservancy
Being green may have been a problem for Kermit, but it wasn’t the same case for over 230 guests at Wildlands Conservancy’s Green Gala held at Brookside Country Club on November 21 which raised over $53,000 for the programs and services of the organization.

Eco-friendly and green auction items were featured including the opportunity to name a piece of the Lehigh River Watershed. East Penn Bank and Gross McGinley were this year’s top sponsors.
The night signified the start of the Conservancy’s 35th anniversary year with former and current board members and two of the original founders in attendance.

“Thirty-five years ago, 16 visionary citizens took action to ensure the future environmental health of the Lehigh Valley by starting this organization,” explains Christopher M. Kocher, president, “Wildlands Conservancy will continue to meet that vision for years to come.”

Attendees bid on over 140 items in the silent auction – from holiday items, anniversary celebration gifts, eco-friendly products and items that celebrate the outdoors. During dinner, brief comments were made by Christopher M. Kocher, president of Wildlands Conservancy, and Mike Stout, Chair of the Board of Directors.

A short film, produced by Julia Getty, was shared detailing the history and impact that Wildlands Conservancy has made on the Lehigh Valley community, which was followed by a live auction of exotic vacations, jewelry, a handcrafted coffee table, and an autographed baseball by Philadelphia Phillies Jamie Moyer.
