Gov. Rendell began the new legislative session this week submitting five nominees for various cabinet positions to the Senate for their consideration, including John Hanger at the Department of Environmental Protection.

John Hanger is the former President and CEO from PennFuture and a former commissioner on the Public Utility Commission. He was originally nominated to the post last August, but the Senate adjourned for the year without holding a hearing or taking action on the nomination.
