State Conservation Commission OKs Guidelines For Selling REAP Tax Credits
The State Conservation Commission this week approved revised guidelines and the application for the sale or transfer of the Resource Enhancement and Protection Tax Credits (REAP) for farm conservation projects.

This document replaces previous guidelines issued by the Commission earlier this year.

REAP tax credits are eligible for sale or assignment after the applicant has paid all 2008 taxes, and one year from the date the credit was granted by the Department of Revenue. Since the first REAP tax credits were granted beginning in March 2008, credits will be available for sale beginning the first week of March, 2009.

Copies of the guidelines and applications will be posted on the REAP webpage.
