Look For The SmartWay Logo When Shopping For A New Vehicle
Driving a vehicle that is fuel efficient produces fewer greenhouse gases and can save you money. Driving a fuel efficient vehicle also reflects well on its owner -- especially these days with growing concerns about climate change.

EPA is launching the SmartWay new leaf campaign, because SmartWay can help change the way America drives.

"Most Americans know they can find energy efficient products if they look for the blue Energy Star. Now, EPA wants to make it easier for you to identify environmentally friendlier cars and trucks, too," said EPA's regional Air Protection Division Director Judith M. Katz.

The national campaign features broadcast, radio, and print public service announcements to help consumers buy smart by looking for the SmartWay logo on cars and trucks when shopping for a new or used vehicle. Nearly 20 percent of all vehicles are fuel efficient enough to be SmartWay-certified.
