Join The Growing Chesapeake Watershed Network
If you are involved in the protection and restoration of the Chesapeake Bay, then you owe it to yourself to take seven minutes to join the Chesapeake Watershed Network– a new and rapidly growing online community of nature protection and pollution control experts and advocates.

The Chesapeake Watershed Network is a community of organizations and individuals working to protect and restore the land and waters of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Our online community facilitates networking and cooperation among its members by providing tools, resources and connections to help its members further their efforts.

Here are three reasons why you should sign up today:

-- Reason #1: Find funding opportunities and other support. The Chesapeake Watershed Network is sponsored by a committee of funding organizations – National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Chesapeake Bay Funders Network, Chesapeake Bay Trust, Keith Campbell Foundation, and the Virginia and Chesapeake NEMO programs.

Join the Chesapeake Watershed Network, and you will never miss another announcement of upcoming funding opportunities offered by these and other grantmakers that support your work to protect and restore the lands and waters of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

--Reason #2: Cooperate with your peers. The Chesapeake Watershed Network is different from those general-purpose social networks that have been so hyped up in recent years.
Members have instant access to a growing network of conservation professionals – people like you - and more are signing up every week.

The network won’t replace face-to-face meetings and conferences, but it will help you get more out of the professional relationships you develop there. You can use the network to find the experts who can solve your most pressing problems, create listservs and file sharing areas, read and write blogs about the topics that interest you, and get a little moral support from others who appreciate the challenges you face.

--Reason #3: It’s easy and fun. We made it easy to participate in the network. Once you’re signed up, you can send and receive messages right from your email box, no need to go out of your way to log in every day. And you can control how many messages you receive.

Joining is free and it takes just a few minutes online.

The Network is being administered by the Pennsylvania office of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. If you need help or have questions on how to move your group to CWN, contact Donna Morelli by sending email to: dmorelli@acb-online.org.
