The Coca-Cola/NRC Recycling Bin Grant Program will start accepting applications February 15.
 
The Program supports local community recycling programs by providing bins to selected grantrecipients for the collection of beverage container recyclables inpublic settings. Grants will be provided to a limited number ofapplicants who can demonstrate how their proposals will lead tosustainable recycling opportunities.
 
The grant program is open to government, civic, school, non-profitgroups and for-profit
 
Recipients are chosen by the NRC based on a number of criteria,including where bins are likely to have the most impact on recoveringbeverage containers, ability of recipients to sustain their program inthe future and intention to support collection programs with recyclingeducation and promotion.
 
Since its inception in the fall of 2007, the Bin Grant Program hasplaced more than 5,700 recycling bins in 150 communities in 48states and the District of Columbia.
