Save The Date: PA Parks And Forests Awards Banquet May 5

The PA Parks and Forests Foundation will hold its annual awards banquet on May in Harrisburg to recognize groups and individuals for their outstanding service to State Parks and Forests.

 

The program will be held at the Harrisburg Country Club starting at 5:30.

 

The 2009 award winners include:

 

-- Keystone Legacy Award- Joe Healey, Keystone Trail Care Crew;

 

-- Government Award- Greg Schrum, Retired, Bureau of State Parks;

 

-- President's Award- Judy Schwank, President, 10,000 Friends of PA;

 

-- Park of the Year- Sinnemahoning State Park;

 

-- Forest of the Year- William Penn Forest District;

 

-- Friends Group Volunteerism Award- Friends of Ohiopyle;

 

-- Friends Group Education Award- Friends of Colonel Denning; and

 

-- Friends Group Improvement Award- Friends of Shikellamy.
