Laurel Highlands Summit Set For April 26-27
The PA Environmental Council is helping to coordinate a summit for the Laurel Highlands Conservation Landscape Initiative on April 26-27, at Hidden Valley Four Seasons Resort in Somerset County.

The summit, titled "Conservation Landscapes: the Place for our Economic Future," will focus on how the outstanding recreational assets and natural features can be improved and conserved as part of an economic-development strategy to create sustainable communities.

The Laurel Highlands CLI is a program of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, with PEC serving as the lead external partner. Much of the focus in the Laurel Highlands has been on the seven state parks and large portions of Forbes State Forest aligned along Laurel Ridge.
