House Environmental Committee Meets On Prescribed Burn, Flood, Energy Bills

House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee meets Tuesday to consider bills regulating prescribed burning, the purchase of property to mitigate flood hazards and to establish an energy efficient home assistance program. The bills include:

 

--House Bill 262 (Haluska-D-Cambria) regulating prescribed burning practices;

 

-- House Bill 774 (Caltagirone-D-Berks) authorizing the acquisition of property to mitigate flood hazards,; and

 

-- House Bill 790 (Watson-R-Bucks) establishing an energy efficient home assistance program at the Housing Finance Agency.

 

Rep. Bud George (D-Clearfield) serves as Majority Chair and Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Minority Chair.
