DEP Schedules Regional Water Resources Technical Subcommittee Meetings In April

The Department of Environmental Protection has scheduled meetings for each of its six Water Resources Regional Technical Subcommittees in April--

-- April 2 - Potomac, Franklin County Administration Annex Building, Chambersburg. 9:00.

-- April 3 - Upper/Middle Susquehanna, DEP Northcentral Regional Office, Williamsport. 9:00.

-- April 8 - Ohio, Westmoreland County Conservation District, Greensburg. 10:00.

-- April 17 - Delaware, DEP Southeast Regional Office, Norristown. 10:00.

-- April 22 - Lower Susquehanna, DEP Southcentral Regional Office, Harrisburg. 9:00.

-- April 28 - Great Lakes, Tom Ridge Environmental Center, Erie. 10:00.

The agendas for the meetings have not been set, according to the formal meeting notice, but the next task on the subcommittees have to do is to implement the regional critical water resource plans.

In December, the Statewide Water Resources Committee and regional subcommittees completed work on the first State Water Plan as required by Act 220.
