Organics Mortality Composting Roundtable Set For April 21 In Gettysburg
The Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania will sponsor an Organics Mortality Composting Roundtable April 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Adams County Ag & Natural Resources Center, 670 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg, Pa.
 
The roundtable will discuss how composting can be used to properly dispose of on-farm animals.
Presenters include George Hurd, Penn State Cooperative Extension; Karen Knoll, Penn State Cooperative Extension; Bicky Redman, Adams County Environmental Services; Dr. John Roberts, Veterinarian, Department of Agriculture; Craig Williams, Penn State Cooperative Extension; Dr. Dave Wolfgang, Penn State Cooperative Extension Veterinarian and Robert Goodling, Penn State Cooperative Extension.
 
The roundtable features a ‘live’ mortality compost demo and discussions on the rules and regulations.
The registration deadline is April 17 and the cost is $10.
