Green Recycler eLoop Holds Electronics Recycling Event In Plum March 28
On March 28 eLoop and Construction Junction in Pittsburgh will hold an electronics recycling event at 155 Plum Industrial Court, Pittsburgh to recycleold TV’s and computer equipment.

“We believe to be successful in western PA we need to be completely above board in everything we do with our materials,” says Ned Eldridge, president. “We challenge others to step up and make sure stuff doesn’t go in landfills, overseas or become part of a 60 Minutes documentary.”

Murraysville-based eLoop is bringing integrity and greensense to the business of recycling, becoming one of the region’s leading processors of disposed electronic components in a “closed loop” system that achieves complete landfill avoidance, here or anywhere in the world.

eLoop recently opened a new location in Plum, the next step in an expansion effort to provide convenient locations for e-waste. eLoop is the only electronics recycler in the region that meets the high standards of the Basel Action Network and processes material in qualified DEP permitted facilities.

With 138,000 tons of electronics making its way to state landfills every year, eLoop is challenging the state to shape new legislation to prevent tons of toxic waste from being dumped each year and leading the way on responsible recycling, says Eldridge.

eLoop takes a three-part approach to recycling for companies, hospitals and universities. They manage the safe and thorough destruction of data found on hard drives, refurbish and remarket IT assets with market value, and they responsibly recycle all end of life electronics.

The recycling process is performed by a series of downstream strategic partners through a chain of custody that keeps materials from being exported or placed in landfills.
