House Environmental Committee OKs Bills On Prescribed Burn, Energy Assistance

House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee this week reported out bills regulating prescribed burning and to establish an energy efficient home assistance program. The bills include:

 

--House Bill 262 (Haluska-D-Cambria) regulating prescribed burning practices; and

 

-- House Bill 790 (Watson-R-Bucks) establishing an energy efficient home assistance program at the Housing Finance Agency.

 

Rep. Bud George (D-Clearfield) serves as Majority Chair and Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Minority Chair.
