April 22 Is Earth Day--Recycle More Day In Blair County

The Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania want all of Blair County to join in the countdown to Earth Day 2009. April 22nd is Earth Day, a perfect time to help your family, your coworkers and your friends to “Recycle More!”

 

From school children to Corporate CEOs, Americans are recognizing the need to be green and environmentally conscious. One simple way every person can make a difference is to Recycle More. If you already do some recycling, add another recyclable to your bin. If you don’t do recycling right now, take time on Earth Day to choose one simple item to recycle.

 

Residents of Blair County can get a blue recycling bin by calling the Blair County Department of Solid Waste and Recycling at 814-696-4620 or 949-2566. Ask them about what item you can start recycling.

 

PROP also invites you to join them and the folks at the Blair County Department of Solid Waste and Recycling at the Blair County Ballpark on Earth Day for “PROP at the Ballpark” night. Game time is 5:05 p.m. with the Curve going up against the Reading Phillies. PROP will be handing out fun prizes.

 

Roxie the Recycler will be making a special guest appearance, making this the place to celebrate Earth Day!
