Celebrate Earth Day With The Wildlands Conservancy, Multiple Events To Choose From
In celebration of Earth Day, April 22, the Wildlands Conservancy will host or present at numerous events throughout the Lehigh Valley promoting environmental stewardship. The events include:

-- April 18- Upper Saucon Township Saucon Creek Trail Clean-Up, 8:30 a.m. – Noon. Upper Saucon Environmental Advisory Council, in conjunction with Wildlands Conservancy, will be hosting a Trail Clean-Up at the Upper Saucon Township Community Park. Interested persons are encouraged to join; supplies are provided by Wildlands Conservancy. -- April 19- Wild in the Parks: Something Fishy? 1:00 p.m. What is all the fuss about fishing? Fun casting practice and a visit to the trout hatchery. Fee: $10/ Children under 13 - $5. Pre-registration is required.

-- April 26- The Great Lehigh River Clean-up, 9:00 a.m. – Noon. Multiple locations along the Lehigh River. Volunteer to clean the Lehigh River of garbage and make a difference in your local environment. Participants will help clean up along the banks of the river and get a voucher to join Wildlands Conservancy on a Bike & Boat trip of your choice anytime in 2009. Materials are supplied by Wildlands Conservancy.  Open to the public free of charge. Pre-registration is required.

-- April 26- Spring Trexler Trek 1:00 p.m. Join us for our nature hike to see what’s popping out at Trexler Nature Preserve! Buds are everywhere. Spring wildflowers are getting wild all over the place. There are bunnies bouncing up and down the hillsides! Deer peeking out from behind the bushes! Turkeys trotting across the trails! And don’t forget the fox. Fee: $10/ Children under 13 - $5. Register by 4/22/09.
