These bills of interest saw action in the Senate or House this week--
 
Senate

Air Quality Plans: Senate Bill 115 (MJ White-R-Venango) requiring publication of changes to the State Air Quality Implementation Plan was passed by the Senate and now goes to the House.

DEP Special Funds: Senate Bill 116 (MJ White) requiring additional reporting for DEP special funds was passed by the Senate and now go to the House for action.

Keystone Fund: Senate Bill 117 (MJ White) requiring additional reporting for expenditures from the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund was passed by the Senate and now goes to the House for consideration.

Hazardous Sites: Senate Bill 118 (MJ White) providing for the deposit of penalties into the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Fund was passed by the Senate and now goes to the House.

Methane Board: Senate Bill 275 (D.White-R-Indiana) establishing the Coal Methane Review Board was passed by the Senate and now goes to the House for action.

Open Space: Senate Bill 172 (Brubaker-R-Lancaster) further authorizing local governments to preserve, acquire or hold land for open space purposes was reported from the Senate Local Government Committee and is now on the Senate Calendar for action.

House

Green Schools: House Bill 689 (Drucker-D-Chester) providing for reimbursements for schools which meet LEED green building standards was amended and reported from the House Education Committee and was referred to House Appropriations Committee.

Energy Star Tax Credit: House Bill 448 (M.Smith-D-Allegheny) providing for an Energy Star rated glass tax credit was reported from the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and then referred to House Appropriations Committee.

Program Evaluations: House Resolution 17 (Harper-R-Montgomery) directing the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to review the Growing Greener Program and the Community Conservation Partnerships Program was reported from the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee then Tabled.

Open Space: House Bill 951 (Dally-R-Northampton) further authorizing local governments to preserve, acquire or hold land for open space purposes was reported from the House Local Government Committee then referred to the House Appropriations Committee.
