DEP To Forgo Meaningful Public Comment Period On Climate Change Action Plan
|
Representatives of the Department of Environmental Protection this week outlined a plan for meeting the October 9 deadline for completing the state's Climate Change Action Plan without a meaningful opportunity for public comment until after the plan is completed and printed.
Members of the Climate Change Advisory Committee this week were told a 30-day comment period would not be held on the Action Plan until after the Plan was published and submitted to the General Assembly and the Governor.
DEP staff said they would prepare a comment/response document on any comments received, but no changes would be made in the Plan.
