The National Association of Water Companies, Pennsylvania Chapter this week recognized Rep.Camille “Bud” George (D-Clearfield) with its James McGirr Kelly Award for Excellence.
The organization honored Rep. George during its awards luncheon at the NAWC Annual Meeting in the Commonwealth Keystone Building in Harrisburg.

The James McGirr Kelly Award for Excellence is the highest honor bestowed by NAWC. The industry association presents the award each year to a resident of Pennsylvania who most exemplifies dedication to promoting the availability of safe drinking water in the Commonwealth.

“Thanks to Rep. George’s leadership and diligence, Pennsylvania has stronger protections in place to preserve our precious water resources,” said NAWC Chair Kathy L. Pape. “He’s also been a driving force behind the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST), which has been instrumental in providing much-needed funding for drinking water, sewer and storm water projects across the state.”
