DEP Extends Comment Period on Proposed General Stormwater Permit, Schedules Hearings
The Department of Environmental Protection has extended the public comment period for proposed revisions to the General NPDES Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (PAG-13). Comments will now be accepted until July 6.
 
In addition to the public comment period extension, DEP will hold three public meetings to explain the proposed changes to PAG-13 and to respond to questions from the public. Following the conclusion of the public meetings, the department will hold public hearings to accept testimony on the proposed amendments to PAG-13.
 
The public meetings will be held from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. and the public hearings will begin at 4 p.m. on these dates: June 16 – DEP Southwest Regional Office, Pittsburgh, June 18 -- DEP Southeast Regional Office, Norristown and June 23 -- DEP Southcentral Regional Office, Harrisburg
 
Anyone wishing to present testimony at a hearing indicated above are requested to contact DEP’s Bureau of Watershed Management, Rachel Carson State Office Building, P. O. Box 8775, 10th Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8774, 717-787-6827 at least one week in advance of the hearing to reserve a time to present testimony.
