Senate/House Bills Moving

These bills of interest saw action this week--

 

Distribution System Improvements: The House Consumer Affairs Committee reported out House Bill 194 (Preston-D-Allegheny) providing for a DISC program for wastewater systems and House Bill 744 (Solobay-D-Washington) providing for a DISC program for natural gas systems. Both bills were referred to the House Appropriations Committee.

Open Space: the House Local Government Committee reported out House Bill 1367 (Carroll-D-Monroe) further providing for acquiring and hold land for open space and was then referred to the House Appropriations Committee.

Geography Education: House Resolution 35 (M.O'Brien-D-Philadelphia) urging the Department of Education to create stimulating ways to implement geography education was adopted by the House.
