May Environmental Synopsis Newsletter Now Available From Joint Conservation Committee

The May issue of the Environmental Synopsis newsletter is now available from the Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee.

 

This month's issue features stories on the Heritage Parks Program, invasive species headed for the Great Lakes, greenwash, environmental funding under the federal stimulus program and more.

 

The Joint Committee has two Environmental Issue Forums set for June. June 4 the Committee will hear a presentation on green building certification in Hearing Room 1 in the North Office Building and on June 8 the Forum will feature a presentation on alternative energy sources in Pennsylvania in Room G-50 Irvis Building. Both Forums begin at noon.

 

Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Chair of the Committee and Sen. Ray Musto (D-Luzerne) serves as Vice Chair.
