Hydrogen Expo And EBW Expo Will Be Held In Pittsburgh April 13-15, 2010
How will we fuel our future? How can we meet the challenges of climate change and grow the economy at the same time? The first American-European Energy and Environment Week, held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 13 to 15, 2010, will provide answers to these and other burning questions.

Hydrogen Expo and the Energy from Biomass and Waste, two highly targeted meetings for industry professionals, investors and scientists, will become part of the Energy and Environment Week.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grants an additional amount of $16 billion for energy programs plus another $20 million for environmental programs.

The new EEW conference focuses on four of the Presidential priorities: bioenergy; waste and recycling; energy efficiency; and fuels of the future. The organizers, Freesen & Partner GmbH with offices in Alpen, Germany and Pittsburgh, PA, expect more than 2,000 delegates to attend the sessions and see exhibits from over 150 companies. In addition to the American participation, EEW will have a strong exhibitor presence and attract delegations from Germany, Scandinavia, the United Kingdom and other European companies.

"Our mission is to create an educational forum with an international speaker panel on climate protection and economical growth through clean power, efficiency increase and landfill diversion", explains Dr. Ines Freesen, Managing Director of Freesen & Partner GmbH. "The focus areas of the conference and trade show offer great synergies for sustainable power and fuels supply and environmental cleanup."

"For our exhibitors and sponsors this means that they benefit from an increase in visitor traffic, and these are visitors they will not meet at other events." adds Dr. Freesen

Exhibitors and sponsors of EEW, including Hydrogen Expo and Energy from Biomass and Waste, will have the chance to actively shape the program: by speaking at the conference; and, if they become a
sponsor, by joining the EEW advisory board.

"It is important that exhibitors and sponsors become involved in the program, because this is how they can make sure that EEW conveys the messages they find important to the market, the polity and the media." comments Dr. Freesen. "We see many events out there that do not offer this involvement to their clients and we think that this a wasted opportunity."

State and government agencies, clean energy and environmental initiatives, national labs and associations from all related industries are invited to become supporting partners of the Energy and Environment Week. Supporting partners play a role in designing the program and help to spread the word about this new educational forum to everyone who should know about the benefits of clean technology.
