Environmental Forum To Feature Alternative Energy Discussion June 8
The Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee will hold an Environmental Forum on June 8 at 12:00 noon in Room G-50 of the K. Leroy Irvis Building on the topic of alternative energy.
 
American Geo-Energy Solutions, LLC will present a program focusing on the work it is doing to develop and utilize potential alternative energy sources for Pennsylvania, including mine water sources, surface and groundwater sources, cogeneration and heating and cooling districts.
 
With the era of low cost energy ending and non-renewable energy resources finite, AGES provides a full range of energy project services, from project concept to full scale operation, including forming public/private partnerships, conducting detailed economic and environmental assessments and securing grant and private investment funds to help ensure timely project completion.
 
The intent is to help stabilize energy price fluctuations, secure renewable energy credits and improve the cost efficiency of facilities or communities.
 
Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Chair of the Committee and Sen. Ray Musto (D-Luzerne) serves as Vice Chair.
