Online Video - StormwaterPA Features New Riparian Buffer Restoration Case Study
|
The StormwaterPA website now has available a new video case study on a riparian buffer restoration project in the Bullfrog Creek Watershed in Montgomery County.
The project shows how riparian buffers can have stormwater, flood reduction and water quality benefits.
The original plantings started in 2000 in a 4,000 foot section of Bullfrog Creek when the local township stopped mowing along the stream and then, over the next few years, added woody and other plant species designed to maximize the environmental benefits.
StormwaterPA is a project of the GreenTreks Network, Inc.
