Save The Date: Pennsylvania Natural Gas Summit November 16-18

Penn State Cooperative Extension will sponsor the Pennsylvania Natural Gas Summit November 16-18 in State College.
The Summit will address the challenges, opportunities, and related actions associated with water use and disposal, regional infrastructure development, issues for local governments, identification of local economic opportunities, and legal issues related to natural gas leasing and development so that stakeholders can make informed, educated decisions that best suit the needs of the region. These timely discussions can also help communities improve local decision making, empower them to guide their own decisions, and improve the social and economic well-being of their citizens. Who Should Attend: Attorneys, chambers of commerce, community and environmental groups, county and municipal elected officials, legal authorities, legislators, members of county or community task forces, planning officials, gas industry representatives, state and federal agency staff. Outcomes: Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and identify water, infrastructure, local government, legal and business issues, and impacts related to Marcellus Shale development in their respective communities and regions.
