Western PA Conservancy Announces Photo Contest
The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is hosting a photography contest open to members and to the public. Entries are due November 1.

Contestants are encouraged to take photos of landscapes, waterways and wildlife on WPC-conserved properties, as well as our community gardens. We also encourage the submission of photos that show people enjoying or participating in recreational activities on WPC-conserved properties.

Winning entries will be featured in the e-newsletter, and may be used in upcoming issues of Conserve magazine. Entrants must adhere to the following guidelines:

-- Photos must be taken on WPC-conserved properties. Interested parties who are not already familiar with WPC conserved properties or our gardens may view our Recreational Guide or the Tour Our Gardens page. Photographs may be taken at any WPC garden or property shown on the Recreational Guide;
-- Photos must be full-size, at least 4x6 inches;

-- Well scanned photos and slides will be considered, but no physical photographs will be accepted;

-- All submissions should be at least 300 dpi. Please don't downsize your resolution; and

-- Please label your photos with the name of the site in which it was taken, as well as the date.

Winners will be decided by an outside panel of judges. Winners’ names will be announced in the e-newsletter, and winning photographs will be showcased in a slideshow.

Limit five entries per person. By submitting an entry you acknowledge the right of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy to reproduce your entry in whole or in part for publicity and promotional purposes.

Please send the photos via email to: photos@paconserve.org or through the mail (on a CD or DVD) to: Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, Attn: Randy Schreiber, 800 Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
