The Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee now has available the August issue of its Environmental Synopsis newsletter.

The topics covered in the newsletter include: new legislation controlling prescribed burning, Forest Service litigation, ocean-side littering, growth of wind, hydropower, bottled water regulation and green job growth.

Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Chair of the Committee and Sen. Ray Musto (D-Luzerne) serves as Vice Chair.
