York Watershed Week Set For September 19 To October 4

September is “National Watershed Month! The public is invited to join the Watershed Alliance of York’s 7th Watershed Weekend running from September 19 to October 4.
Venues include hands-on natural resource conservation, environmental education, and stewardship activities, and more. Venues are located in York County, the Lower Susquehanna River Basin, and Upper West Shore Chesapeake Bay Watersheds. The Watershed Alliance of York is a coalition of stakeholders committed to encouraging watershed-based planning, restoration and protection, through locally led initiatives, in York County and beyond. This year’s Watershed Weekend Venue Partners include the York County Conservation District, New Freedom Heritage, MAEscapes Partnership, Red Lion Municipal Authority, Izaak Walton League of America – York Chapter #67, PPL Corporation, Codorus Creek Watershed Association, York County Parks & Recreation, The York Water Company, Shank’s Mare Outfitters, and Spoutwood Farm CSA.
