September Is National Preparedness Month
This month marks the 6th annual National Preparedness Month—a time when federal, state and local partners encourage citizens to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses and communities.

Last year, the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency launched the ReadyPA campaign to help the public prepare for a disaster.

The campaign’s website
offers important information on how to protect yourself and your loved ones, such as what to include in a preparedness kit and how to formulate a family emergency plan.

Knowing what to do is your best defense in any emergency so start planning now. This September, share that message with others by encouraging them to “Be Informed, Be Prepared, and Be Involved.”
