Senate/House Bills Moving

The following bills of interest saw action this week-- 

House 

Host Municipalities: House Bill 1768 (Wansacz-D-Luzerne) amending Act 101 to expand the definition of host municipality was reported from the House Appropriations Committee, was amended on the House Floor and was passed by the House by a vote of 120 to 76. It now goes to the Senate for consideration. 

Coal Refuse Siting: House Bill 1847 (Harhai-D-Westmoreland) amends the Coal Refuse Disposal Control Act to allow siting of a new facility next to an existing coal refuse pile was passed by the House by a vote of 183 to 12 and now goes to the Senate for consideration. 

Biofuels Exemption :Senate Bill 901 (Scarnati-R-Jefferson) would provide a one year exemption from biodiesel mandates for small refiners was amended and reported from the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee and then referred to the House Appropriations Committee.
