Northwest PA GIS Conference Set For October 15-16

Clarion University and the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission will host the fourth Annual Northwest PA Geographic Information Systems Conference, October 15-16, at the Gemmell Student Complex.
The conference attendees will have the opportunity to learn about GIS through a series of lectures, presentations, exhibits, and hands-on workshops presented by a distinguished group of professionals. GIS is used throughout the world to solve problems related to emergency response services, land use, business efficiency, education, and public safety. The keynote speaker will be Josh Knauer of Pittsburgh, president and CEO of Rhiza Labs. Anyone working with or interested in digital mapping and GIS technology is welcome to attend.
Registration for the conference is $25 for one day or $35 for both days. There is an additional $15 registration fee for the Thursday Night Info Swap. It is also free from students, teachers and Clarion University employees.
