Wildlife For Everyone, Partners Complete Penns Creek Stream Improvement Project
Wildlife For Everyone Endowment Foundation and several partners this week announced the completion of a stream improvement project on Penns Creek in Gregg Township, Centre County.

Wildlife For Everyone teamed up with Penns Valley Conservation Association, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the North Central PA Conservancy and used a DEP Growing Greener to make improvements to Penns Creek. The Fish and Boat Commission provided the design for the project.

The Fish and Boat and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service completed the construction with the help of crews from Quehanna Boot camp and PVCA volunteers who installed 600 foot mud sill and two log vanes on a section of Penns Creek across from Kline Road in Gregg Township.

In the fall a buffer will be planted along the stream and agriculture best management practices will be installed in the spring.
