Help Wanted: Foundation For PA Watersheds Seeks Coalition Director
The Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds is seeking an individual to direct a state-level issue advocacy, education and outreach effort in Pennsylvania for a minimum period of 18 months. The position will be based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Coalition Director will be tasked with working with an alliance of organizations, under the supervision of a small steering committee, to advance a targeted advocacy, education and outreach effort for land and water conservation in the state. If successful, the position may be extended for at least one additional year.

The responsibilities of this position include: develop a working network for advancement of the coalition, including oversight of regional coordinators as necessary, organization and scheduling of coalition events and activities, development and oversight of coalition budget, develop and implement messaging for the coalition, including: direct meetings with policymakers, including state legislators and staff, gubernatorial candidates and staff, and other individuals or entities as needed, serve as point-of-contact for media, including public events.

Requirements: experience in successfully leading a statewide issue advocacy and outreach effort, knowledge of Pennsylvania political landscape; ability to bring existing relationships to the effort a plus, experience in mobilizing a regional grassroots network, experience in developing and executing a communication plan, experience in media relations, including both public events and direct interactions, ability to work with a large coalition of partners, ability to work within prescribed budgets and timelines, ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed, ability to travel throughout Pennsylvania.
