PA CleanWays Perry County Receives Grant From Attorney General Corbett

PA CleanWays received a $10,000 grant for its PA CleanWays of Perry County chapter from the PA Office of Attorney General, Environmental Crimes Section. The funding will be designated for cleanups and other chapter activities.
Established in March of 2009, PA CleanWays of Perry County has held four illegal dumpsite cleanups removing and properly disposing 8.66 tons of trash. In addition, the chapter has removed and properly recycled 836 tires. PA CleanWays of Perry County will be holding their next cleanup November 14. This cleanup will be held along Route 74 north of Ickesburg in Saville Township. Volunteers should meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Bear's Den Restaurant on SR 74 south of the intersection of SR 74 and SR 17 in Ickesburg. Volunteers will carpool to the dumpsite.
