PA Organizations for Watersheds & Rivers
POWR is seeking a motivated and ambitious intern for the spring semester. The intern will be involved in several programs, including the volunteer monitoring data system program and River Sojourn program. The intern will work closely with these program coordinators as well as the Executive Director. Excellent communication skills and understanding of the environmental issues facing watersheds are essential.

Environmental Protection
DEP typically has a variety of intern positions available to college students, technical, scientific, engineering and sometimes computer science and information systems in Harrisburg and major offices around the state.

DCNR typically has engineering, scientific and technical intern positions available through its summer intern positions, along with temporary summer jobs as lifeguards and maintenance staff at its State Parks.

Historical & Museum Commission
The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission is now accepting applications for the summer 2005 internship program. The deadline for applications is February, 25.
The 12-week program provides pre-professional training to graduate or undergraduate students who are interested in careers in the public history field. Interns will be assigned to a PHMC employee who will serve as their mentors for the duration of the summer program.
At the end of the program, interns will present an informal oral presentation to other commission interns and interested employees about their experiences. Applicants will be notified in mid-April of their selection.
