Public Encouraged To Attend December 15 Chesapeake Bay Forum In Harrisburg
As part of a series of public forums throughout December on the recently released draft federal strategy for restoring the Chesapeake Bay, federal agencies will hold a public forum from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m., December 15 at the Farm Show Complex, 2301 North Cameron St., Harrisburg.

The draft strategy is a document required by an executive order issued by President Obama in May 2009. The forums will feature officials from multiple federal agencies including the U.S Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of the Interior and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Comments may be submitted online. Input is welcome through January 8.

The draft strategy will evolve significantly through public comments, state consultations and agency revisions before the final strategy is published in May 2010.
