Phipps Offers Teacher's Childhood Plant Science Workshop January 9
|
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is hosting a teacher in-service on January 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. called Early Childhood Plant Science.
Children have a natural curiosity of the world around them. This training is designed to guide teachers and child care professionals to foster that sense of wonder and encourage young students to search for answers to their questions. This workshop includes several hands-on lessons and experiments from classifying and planting seeds to reaching into the touchy feely box that will get you and the youngsters in your early childhood program exploring, reasoning, and discovering. This class will provide four Act 48 credit hours. For more information, visit the Phipps Conservancy website. |
