DEP Publishes Final Baseline Water Withdrawal Numbers For Lake Erie Basin

The Department of Environmental Protection this week published final baseline water withdrawal, consumptive use and diversion numbers for the Lake Erie basin.

These numbers begin the process of regulating water withdrawals in the Lake Erie basin required by the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact, the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence River Basin Sustainable Water Resources Agreement and by the 2008 Pennsylvania Great Lakes, St. LawrenceRiver Basin Water Resources Compact enactment.
