A workshop on source water protection for York County water systems and municipalities will be held on January 13 at the York Water Company Employee Center in York, Pa from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m.

Water system attendees will learn how to use their source water assessment report to develop a local SWP program and how SWP area management actions and contingency planning can reduce risks to the quality of drinking water sources.

This session will also allow interaction with others in York County to exchange information about local drinking water protection efforts and activities that support those efforts.

The workshop is primarily intended for water system officials and operators, but appointed and elected municipal and county officials, planners, members of organizations interested in protecting water resources, and area water professionals are encouraged to attend.
